RUK1

The motivation behind RUK1 was to create a "Grey Man” style EDC ( Every Day Carry ) system that looked at lifestyle and utility in a synergistic manner. In doing so, I was able to create a system that not only provided durability and reliability but also one that could be quickly and easily tailored to fit virtually anyone’s daily mission.

Everyday carry (EDC) or every day carry are items that are consistently carried on person everyday. The main reasons for having EDC are utility and preparedness; to help individuals overcome simple everyday problems, and to prepare someone for unexpected and possibly dangerous situations

Process

Over a 12 week period RUK1 went from initial idea, through primary and secondary research, into 2D ideation and 3D mockups, and culminated in a fully functional Version 1 prototype.

Made of heavy duty sail material, RUK1 acts as a weatherproof barrier between the elements and your cargo. This material also provides a semi-rigid structure which allows the bag to maintain It’s shape when not fully packed.
